I still don't get why servicing this guy is considered dangerous or wrong. It's the repair station's job to . He can't 'renege' on the payment if there is no payment. If he started slandering the repair station for some inane reason, the public would take the station's word over his. Officially he's under watch from the local parole officers, who don't have anything else to do. Or are surveillance bots. And since he's a participant of the Grand Prix, not servicing him would cause suspicion of intentional denial-of-service to a disfavored opponent for the benefit of a frequent social patron.

It's not 'wrong' nor is it 'dangerous' to some degree (if you ignore that other criminals might think they can abuse Spec's generosity if they are the type). It's more....'risky'.

It is how it is. Many have no idea how Dunedin was even ALLOWED to participate in races to begin with. Many think it's a rigged occurrence.

The next page kinda is a clue to why Yaz in particular wasn't so keen on the idea. It's not a perfect system, despite what many might think. Fairness is ALSO a dying practice lol
