What did he go through that makes him feel like everyone is going to hate him? You don't normally see characters like this so it had to be some sort of tragic backstory that left him in this sorry state.
Well .... In page 30 , the guy says : "- It's been cycles since i 'did anything'" . Would be a sort of rebel ? .......... But , no need to him to be rough with females ; especially with one able to kill a levifin ^_^"

It seems like most people think those are feet with extra joints and not toes at the end of a foot so reactions tend to mimic a foot with a more fixed position when they should curl. Little details like that help a scene seem more alive. :)

Such people tend to lash out more and he could have aimed higher and hit her but he chose a spot to just get her to back off. In their profession the females seem quite tough and capable so I doubt anyone would care about being a bit rough. Not to mention I bet she'd win in a fight with little effort, though I doubt he knows that. :)
He doesn't seem so different, I'm really curious why he's so hated.
