Have you been reading the Hybridor comic and thought to yourself, "Man I wish I could see my character in this comic...". Well you are in luck!

I'm pleased to announce the first actual CONTEST for Hybridor! The last event was sort of a raffle, but this one's gonna be a legit contest. And it's real easy to win a prize!
[b]HOW TO ENTER:[/b]
-All you gotta do to enter the contest is draw a picture that has a Hybridor character in it. It can be 1 character, or several!
-If you aren't artistically adept, I will also accept written story entries.
Easy right?
But why bother entering? What's it worth to you? No contest is worth it's salt without prizes for your efforts, so here are the prizes!
[b]PRIZES:[/b]
1st place = Premium Cameo slot, a fully rendered single-character image, and a month's worth of early page-viewing of the comic (if you are an Elmin or higher Patron , you get a sketch instead!)
2nd place = Premium Cameo slot, and a month's worth of early page-viewing (Elmin or higher Patrons get a sketch instead!)
3rd place = Normal cameo slot and a month's worth of early page-viewing (Elmin or higher Patrons get a sketch!)
ALL ENTRIES WILL GET A NORMAL CAMEO SLOT!
So even if you don't place into any of the above ranks, you still get to appear in the comic!
But what are Premium Cameos? Why should you aim for those top prizes? Premium Cameo's are extra special cameo opportunities, where the character gets speaking roles and does more than just be a wordless appearance in the background. In other words, they are a LOT more involved with the characters of Hybridor!

-You can submit multiple entries, but keep in mind you will only get 1 cameo spot, no matter how many times you enter.
-No NSFW entries please
-There MUST be a Hybridor character somewhere in the piece for the entry to count. The more focused on them, the better!

How can I increase my chances of winning?[/b]
Effort in your entry mostly.
While you are allowed to make multiple entries to increase your chances of one being picked for the top 3 ranks, a single piece that had a TON of thought and effort put into it has a better chance of winning than 5 drawings with less time dedicated to each. Also, keeping the Hybridor characters IN character and behaving how they've shown in the comic so far is a huge boon. It's impressive when I see fans of Hybridor able to depict and understand the characters as if it was me depicting the scenerio!
[b]Can my entry have my own characters in it?[/b]
Yes!
So long as an official Hybridor character is present in the piece, the entry will count, even if you got your own character in it! I love seeing character interaction!

My artist and writing skill is really crappy. I have no chance of winning...[/b]
Don't count yourself out just yet! The quality of art or writing isn't as important as just making a compelling image or story. So I'd enter and try anyway! I've been impressed with images that looked like things I've drawn at age 8, just because what was drawn was really cool and interesting! Content over quality!

Bare in mind, 3 of these haven't shown up in the comic yet. But I will not stop anyone from drawing them if they want! I might be even MORE impressed if you managed to nail still-to-be-seen characters!

I've made my entry! How do I get it to you?[/b]
Firstly, make sure you are a member of the site and have verified your account completely. You can't post on the forums until that's been done! Next, there are several free image-hosting sites you can use to upload your entry to the web so that you can share it with me through a PM (done through the controls). Several free image-hosting places are Deviantart's st.ash, Google Photos (if you have a google account), and several others. Once you've got it uploaded somewhere, just link it to me and I'll put it in the Contest's Entry thread. You can upload there too, it'll just be where I hold them all so that I don't forget them =) You can also just directly send your entry to my email at ultahybridor@gmail.com
And that's about it! If you have any questions, let me know through here or notes. I will be happy to answer anything you wish if it means giving you better insight for your piece =) If you choose to participate, good luck!
