Are they the descendants of humans who heavily modified themselves with animal genes, or are they some sort of alien that just happens to resemble an anthropomorphic Earth animal? Ulta — [Reply] Earth does not exist. This is a different universe, and here technology got advanced enough for successful gene-tempering. That eventually lead to all kinds of designer babies, including mixing animal with human. Heck being a designer baby is much more common than natural births.
